System Architect
Position:
System Architect; Duties include: provide technical leadership and support to a team of software engineers during the strategic migration of the front-end codebase from Vue 2 to Vue 3 with TypeScript; architect and design systems for multiple Golang backend services, using Golang, Kafka, and PostgreSQL to enable critical business functions such as authentication, flight detail polling, app notification, and drone delivery information handover; implement new relic-based monitoring system to support the first ever USSP (U-Space Service Provider) certification, enabling real-time application analytics, infrastructure monitoring, alert management, log management, and performance degradation warnings.
Education and Experience:
Must have B.S. in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, and two years of prior experience as a Software Engineer, to include at least one year using Golang and Kafka and developing and integrating DDMS (Digital Data Management System) features into software, including airspace management, dynamic routing, live telemetry processing, and ETA calculations.
Location:
Reston, Virginia; 40 hrs./wk.; Mon.-Fri. (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.); Salary depends on experience. Applicants must have proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
