Brent is an accomplished professional with decades of aviation and traffic management experience including leading diverse teams to meet the organizational objectives.
Previously, Brent was the Director of Commercial Drones at ASEC, a veteran-owned small business that provides manned and unmanned aviation services. Prior to entering private industry, Brent logged 3,000 pilot flight hours while serving 20 years in the U.S. Navy, including ground-breaking efforts to develop its two largest drone programs. He currently represents the U.S. as a drone expert to the International Organization of Standards (ISO), serves on the National Board of Directors for AUVSI, is a voting member of American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International Committee for Drones, Co-chairs an ANSI committee on drones, sits on the ANSI Steering Committee UAS Standardization Collaborative (UASSC), participates in several NASA UAS-related research projects, and a drone expert for the State’s Emergency Response Team, Florida.
