ANRA Technologies opens its newest office in the UK
ANRA Technologies is excited to announce the opening of its newest office in Cranfield, UK to accelerate its rapidly growing base of customers and partners in the region. ANRA’s efforts in United Kingdom will be led by Mr. Brent Klavon, Vice President of Operations.

ANRA has been engaged in the UK market since 2018 starting with the Open Access UTM Project led by Connected Places Catapult (CPC), on behalf of the Department for Transport (DfT). The project was responsible for exploring a future Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Traffic Management (UTM) framework that could help to enable future service providers, operators, manned aviation stakeholders and regulators to participate in the intelligent control of airspace. The report summarizing the results of Phase 1 was recently released and can be downloaded here.
The report is a result of a year-long Department for Transport sponsored project, working alongside collaborators like ANRA Technologies, NATS and the Satellite Applications Catapult. It includes the architecture for an open access UTM system and scenarios for important areas such as managing permissions to fly drones in restricted airspace and multiple drone operations in in uncontrolled airspace.
Next phase of the project was kicked off recently and includes CPC, along with ANRA Technologies, Altitude Angel, GE Aviation, NATS, Snowflake Software, and Thales. The group will run a series of technical workshops in order to mature the development of the Open-Access UTM framework to enable demonstrations of the future operational use of UTM.
