Introducing ANRA VISTA for Shared Airspace Awareness

 See More. Fly Aware.

ANRA Technologies is introducing ANRA VISTA (Visual Interface for Shared Traffic Awareness), a new application that gives public safety agencies, enterprise drone programs, and other operators greater awareness of drone activity in the airspace around them.

The idea behind VISTA is simple.

Your drone isn’t alone. It helps to know what else is flying nearby.

The Airspace is Getting Busier

Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs are changing how police and fire departments respond to emergencies. A drone can often reach a scene before responding units and provide valuable information when every second counts.

At the same time, the number and variety of drone operations are growing quickly. UTM helps drone operators safely coordinate flights when multiple operations are occurring in the same area. The Shared Airspace UTM Consortium reports that UTM services have already supported more than 1.5 million UAS flights with no safety incidents. The next wave of growth is already underway.

Drone delivery is one of the most visible examples. Major operators including Amazon Prime Air, Wing, Zipline, Manna, and Matternet are expanding into new markets and scaling their delivery networks. Amazon plans to reach nearly 500 cities and towns by the end of 2026, while Wing and Walmart are building toward more than 270 drone delivery locations.

The growth extends well beyond delivery. Utilities and critical infrastructure operators are also expanding their use of drones. The New York Power Authority, for example, uses drones and UTM capabilities to support infrastructure operations.

For public safety and enterprise drone operators, the takeaway is straightforward. More drones from more organizations are beginning to share the same low-altitude airspace. That makes awareness of nearby operations increasingly important.

Meet ANRA VISTA

ANRA VISTA gives authorized users an easy-to-understand view of available information about drone activity around their operations.

For a DFR program, that can mean greater awareness of other drone operations near an emergency scene. For an enterprise operator, it can provide additional visibility into activity around routine inspections, infrastructure missions, or other flights.

As UTM adoption grows and more drone intent, position, and identification information becomes available, that shared airspace picture will continue to improve.

VISTA is designed to add this awareness without requiring organizations to change the aircraft, flight applications, or operating procedures they already use.

Built for Real Operations

VISTA was not developed around a hypothetical use case. It was developed in response to a challenge ANRA is already seeing in operational airspace. As delivery, public safety, infrastructure, and other drone operations expand, different operators are increasingly flying in the same areas.

Today, ANRA’s UTM supports approximately one drone mission every 15 seconds during daytime operations. More than 20 organizations, primarily DFR programs, are already using ANRA’s visualization capability to improve awareness of drone activity in their area.

That operational experience helped shape VISTA into a tool designed for the realities of increasingly active low-altitude airspace.

Another Layer of Airspace Awareness

VISTA is not a drone detection or Counter-UAS system, and it does not claim to show every drone in the sky. Instead, it provides another layer of information that can help operators understand what may be happening around their missions.

For a police department responding to an incident, a fire department operating over an emergency scene, or an enterprise conducting a routine flight, knowing that another drone may be nearby can help operators make better-informed decisions and reduce the chance of an unexpected encounter.

The airspace is getting busier. VISTA helps you see more of it.
